The RIVM Aerius calculation tool can calculate the impact of traffic, industry and construction on NOX and NH3 pollution on Natura 2000 areas in the Netherlands. The Aerius module behind the Aerius Overlay supports the connection between the Tygron Platform and the Aerius calculation tool. The Aerius calculation tool can estimate emissions for various sectors, but only the sectors traffic, construction machines, plan and direct emissions are supported by the Tygron Platform.

Usage

The Aerius overlay results can be use to:

  • Calculate emissions for traffic, construction machines, construction materials and constructed buildings.
  • Calculate NOX and NH3 pollution on Natura 2000 areas as 60 meter sided hexagons.

Notes

  • In the current prototype, only traffic is supported.
