A cell is partly flooded and stabilizing when:

  • The predicted water height at one edge is zero and the water in that direction is flowing away from that edge. The predicted water height is the predicted water level minus the terrain height at that edge.
  • In case water in the cell is flowing in the direction of the dry edge, the cell will not be partially flooded and it will not try to stabilize its water level with the neighboring cell where the water comes from.
