Activated measure with a GridSpatial and several buildings on top.

A GridSpatial is a component of a Measure that stores spatial information on how to apply a set of Grids to the DTM when the measure is activated. The area to which the Grids are applied can be restricted by specifying a MultiPolygon to the GridSpatial.

This MultiPolygon can either be:

  • Calculated automatically based on the configured Grids for that GridSpatial.
  • Configured manually by supplying a MultiPolygon, for example by drawing or importing.

Notes

  • You can add more than one Grid to a GridSpatial of a Measure.
  • You can manually provide a MultiPolygon to specify where the Grids are applied.
  • GridSpatials are applied in the order at which they were added to a Measure. Similarly, Grids of a GridSpatial are applied in the order at which they were added to the GridSpatial. This order can be inspected using the Left Panel and Right Panel of the Measure in the editor.
  • No data values in a Grid are never applied to the DTM.
  • The specified Grid Overlays must be set to inactive, otherwise the Measure cannot be applied.
