How to add a limitation area to a water overlay manually:
  1. Add an Area to the project. This will be the limit area.
  2. Draw the limitation area on the project map where you want to apply the water overlay.
  3. Add an Attribute to the created Area, with the attribute name LIMIT_AREA and a value above 0.
  4. Open the Water overlay wizard and in step 1, choose for Calculation area the option Limit to specified areas.
  5. In the wizard, an extra step will be added where you will see that your created area is selected.
  6. Continue with the wizard.

Notes

  • This water limitation area is not to be confused with the Limit Map functionality that applies to all Overlays in the project and is always shaped in a rectangle.
  • Alternatively, use a custom attribute name (value > 0). Then, in the wizard's extra step, select Select existing limitation areas based on attribute and choose your custom attribute.
