How to add an Area to a Measure

Some calculations, such as the Travel Distance Overlay, require data in the form of Areas. To make these areas dynamic for Future Designs—where an area exists only when a specific Measure is active—specific setup is required.

Editor → Future Design (Ribbon tab) → Measures (Ribbon bar)

How to activate and deactivate an Area together with a Measure:

1. First make sure you have added or imported Areas that you want to (de)activate.
2. In Future Design, open the list of Measures.
3. Select the Measure which should (de)activate the Area(s).
4. In the right panel, select the tab "Areas".
5. Click on the "Add" button.
6. Select the areas that you want to (de)activate. Optionally filter on name.
7. Click on OK to confirm. The (de)activated areas should now be added to the measure.

Notes

• It is not possible to dynamically create Areas during a Test Run, so activating and deactivating Areas is the only effective way to change their state.
