Data on the GeoShare is generally available as full files. However, it is possible to have data on the GeoShare offered up via a WFS. This requires the creation of a GeoShare Viewer on the GeoShare, but will allow both the Tygron Platform as well as other software to connect and consult the data easily.

Editor → Current Situation (Ribbon tab) → Geo Import (Ribbon bar) → Geo Share (Dropdown)
How to add a GeoShare WFS:
  1. Ensure the file or files you wish to make available via WFS are present on the GeoShare, in the same folder.
  2. Click on "Add Viewer" to add a new "Viewer" to the GeoShare in this location.
  3. A prompt will appear for the name. Enter a name for the viewer, which describes the data or case the data is related to.
  4. A prompt will appear for a file. Select the (first) file which needs to be made available via this Viewer, and via the WFS.
  5. If more files are to be offered up via the same Viewer and WFS, opt to add another file and repeat for all relevant files.
  6. When all relevant files are added, decline to add more files. A Viewer will now be added alongside the files.
  7. Click on the "edit" icon to access the details of the WFS.
  8. Click on "WFS Link". This will open the Viewer's WFS in the web browser.
  9. Copy the full url currently in the address bar in the web browser. This is the url of the WFS which can be accessed by the Tygron Platform or by other applications.

Notes

  • Each file is represented as a separate layer. Layers can be added and removed via the details overview of the WFS.
  • A WFS can optionally be secured from arbitrary access with a web token. This setting is active by default.
