When working with the full groundwater model of the Water Overlay, ground bottom flow from deeper ground layers through the bottom boundary may present a significant factor in the ground water balance. For these situations, various ground bottom flow parameters can be configured.

For ground bottom flow to be functional, the Bottom pressure prequel and Bottom resistance prequel are required and must be prepared beforehand.

How to configure constant bottom boundary flow:
  1. Open the Water Overlay Wizard, and proceed to the bottom boundary step.
  2. Opt to select Bottom Grid Overlays
  3. Optionally define a Global Pressure.
  4. For the Head Pressure Grid, import your GeoTIFF Overlay with head pressure values.
  5. Ensure the uploaded GeoTIFF Overlay is selected in the dropdown.
  6. For the resistance Grid, import your GeoTIFF Overlay with resistance values.
  7. Ensure the uploaded GeoTIFF Overlay is selected in the dropdown.
  8. Close the configuration wizard, and recalculate the Overlay.
