The results from calculations at the locations of Constructions may be skewed or lead to incorrect assumptions of how the calculated values should be interpreted. Also the actual DPRA Heat Module does not incorporate buildings (walls and roofs) in the calculations, as the model refers to a terrain elevation of only 1,2 meters high in the landscape and not much is known / researched about the effect that higher (green) walls and roofs may have on the DPRA model.

To prevent these values from affecting further calculations, or inciting questions around interpretation, it is recommended to exclude buildings from the end-result.

In case the user would like to still use the buildings in the calculations, switching this attribute to include them will incorporate the buildings as part of the elevation model, and as such a the heat stress calculation is performed also on the buildings.

We expect that a future update in the DPRA model will improve in this area.
