In order to validate the implementation of the water module in the Tygron Platform, several shallow water related benchmarks have been performed. The following benchmarks are available for review:
Rainfall Benchmarks
Flooding Benchmarks
- UK Benchmark Case 1 (Sloping topography)
- UK Benchmark Case 2 (Filling of floodplain)
- UK Benchmark Case 3 (Momentum conservation)
- UK Benchmark Case 4 (Speed of flood propagation)
- UK Benchmark Case 5 (Valley flooding)
- UK Benchmark Case 6 (Dambreak)
Groundwater Benchmarks
- Sudden waterway level change benchmark. (Dutch Classic)
- Phreatic groundwater levels benchmark
- Pankow's bottom flow equation benchmark
- Radial well with aquifer benchmark
- Radial well with phreatic benchmark
Perform your own Benchmarks
- Some of the Benchmarks mentioned above are available in your own domain. Please contact Tygron Support for more information.
- Confirm your own basic water calculations by composing a test bed in the Tygron Platform using the Testbed tutorial.
- Basic test set-ups are available via the Water Module Testbed, located in the main menu under Edit projects.
Tygron has automated most of these benchmarks for its Tygron Platform's build process. This way, each implementation change made to the server and the Water Module is tested in terms of code, data and hardware.
