When working with the full groundwater model of the Water Overlay, underground seepage may present a significant factor in the underground water balance. However, especially over longer times, the effects of external seepage can vary. For these situations, it is possible to introduce a time-dependant variation to the seepage constant.

For seepage to be functional, two Seepage GeoTiffs are required and must be prepared beforehand. Additionally, a csv with time values for the seepage constant should be prepared.

How to configure variable seepage:
  1. Open the Water Overlay Wizard, and proceed to the seepage step.
  2. Opt to configure seepage.
  3. For the pressure geotiff, import your GeoTiff with seepage pressure values.
  4. For the resistance geotiff, import your GeoTiff with seepage resistance values.
  5. Set the seepage factor to "dynamic", and opt to select a csv.
  6. In the CSV import window, opt to import your csv and import it.
  7. Close the import window.
  8. Close the configuration wizard, and recalculate the Overlay.
