When working with the full groundwater model of the Water Overlay, underground seepage may present a significant factor in the underground water balance. However, especially over longer times, the effects of external seepage can vary. For these situations, it is possible to introduce a time-dependant variation to the seepage.

For seepage to be functional, the following should be prepared beforehand:

Editor → Current Situation (Ribbon tab) → Overlays (Ribbon bar) → Water Overlay (Left panel) → Configuration Wizard (Right panel) → Seepage
How to configure variable seepage:
  1. Open the Water Overlay Wizard, and proceed to the seepage step.
  2. Opt to configure seepage.
  3. For the pressure GeoTIFF, import your GeoTIFF Overlay with seepage pressure values.
  4. Ensure the uploaded GeoTIFF is selected in the dropdown.
  5. For the resistance GeoTIFF, import your GeoTIFF Overlay with seepage resistance values.
  6. Ensure the uploaded GeoTIFF is selected in the dropdown.
  7. Set the seepage factor to "dynamic", and opt to select a csv.
  8. Import the prepared csv.
  9. Close the import window.
  10. Close the configuration wizard, and recalculate the Overlay.
