Vegetation fraction (Heat Stress Overlay)

The vegetation fraction is an attribute used by the Heat Stress Overlay, and indicates the amount of vegetation per square meter. The vegetation fraction can be determined based on the presence of multiple types of data:

• If a building is present with a vegetation fraction function value, this value is used.
• Otherwise, the present terrain's VEGETATION_FRACTION attribute is used.

Notes

• The vegetation fraction cannot be overwritten by Areas.
• The DPRA Heat stress report prescribes that during the day Water Terrain is considered vegetation, but at night is not considered vegetation.
