Urban Heat Island result type overlay (Wageningen)

An urban heat island is an area which is warmer than surrounding areas due to human activity, specifically urbanized environments which retain and radiate heat.

Notes

  • The value provided by the Urban Heat Island result type Overlay is not directly the actual temperature for a given location. Instead, it is an intermediate factor in the calculation of the physiological equivalent temperature.
