For a Water Overlay, the watertable can be defined using the Weather data.

Editor → Current Situation (Ribbon tab) → Overlays (Ribbon bar) → The Water Overlay (Left panel) → Configuration Wizard (Right panel)
How to connect a default groundwater GeoTiff to a Water Overlay:
  1. Open the configuration wizard of the Water Overlay.
  2. Continue to the step concerning ground water.
  3. Opt for "Select a Groundwater Depth GeoTiff"
  4. From the dropdown, select the desired GeoTiff
  5. Close the wizard.

Notes

Note that default provided GeoTiffs may not have worldwide coverage. For example, the default NHI GeoTiffs only provide coverage in the Netherlands.
