The Water Connection Generator enables users to generate underground buildings such as culverts using a set of parameters. This generator is useful in situations where a project misses a large number of these constructions. Generated constructions can be easily removed as well, to retry with different parameters. The parameters are explained below under Advanced Options.

Advanced Options

  • Min length (m): The minimum length of the placable construction. Constructions are not created for water bodies that are closer apart than this length.
  • Max length (m): The maximum length of the placable construction. Constructions are not created for water bodies that are further apart than this length.
  • Large road threshold (m2): A road is considered large (and therefor unpassable) when the road's size is larger than the threshold. This parameter can be used to prevent water connections crossing large roads.
  • Large road straight (m):
  • Max height difference (m): The height differences on the surface along the line of the waterconnection. This parameter can be used to detect dikes and prevent water connections under them.
  • Width (m): The construction will have its width set to this value when placed.
  • Ignore Upstream (m): A water connection is only created when its endpoints differ in height less than this configured value.
  • Include water bodies (e.q. lakes ponds) (yes/no): When yes, both waterways and waterbodies are taken into account as water terrains. When no, only waterways are taken into account.

Reset to defaults reverts the values of the advanced options back to the default settings. Remove generated removes all generated constructions of the indicated function.
