Watershed Module

The watershed module determines which waterways raindrops flow into, based on their starting locations and the terrain elevation. The locations of the drops that all end up in the same waterway can be grouped together to form a region called the watershed.
Watersheds applications
Watersheds can be used for the following:
- For example to show which waterways are the largest and therefore most important in the water system to better manage maintenance and adjustments.
- Clients can validate if all major rainfall catchment areas connect to the water system, identifying isolated artificial water bodies.
- Watersheds and their associated waterways can be used in external models to quantify rainfall for large-scale, low-detail systems.
- A client has to solve disputes with landowners complaining about (the lack of) rainfall discharge on their land.
