The results from calculations at the locations of buildings may be skewed or lead to incorrect assumptions of how the calculated values should be interpreted. The DPRA Heat Stress Module does not incorporate buildings (walls and roofs) in the calculations, as the model utilizes a terrain elevation of 1.2 meters; the effects of higher (green) walls and roofs on the DPRA model are currently not fully documented.

To prevent these values from affecting further calculations, or inciting questions around interpretation, it is recommended to exclude buildings from the end-result.

In case the user would like to still use the buildings in the calculations, switching this attribute to include them will incorporate the buildings as part of the elevation model, and as such a the heat stress calculation is performed also on the buildings.
