Water on the surface can flow into water storages of constructions. This mechanism allows for short term rain water storage to reduce peak flow caused by heavy rainfall.
Water storage in constructions can be implicitly activated or deactivated by adjusting their Water Storage attribute. If there are no constructions in the project area with water storage capacity, no water storage will take place.
When water flows onto a cell with a construction capable of storing water, that water will be stored in the construction until the construction's water storage capacity has been reached. Water cannot leave that storage, either through flow back into the surface water model or by being removed from it altogether. When the storage is full, no additional water cannot flow into that storage for the remainder of the simulation.
