Each network is related to a predefined resource type. This is known as the net type. A network transports resources from supply to demand elements. Networks of different types are independent entities. The following network types are currently available:
* ELECTRICITY
* GAS
* HEAT
* INTERNET
* SEWER

[[Net Function]]s and [[Net Load]]s both  reference a Net Type. [[Net Line]]s are part of the Net Type based on their Net Function. [[Net Cluster]]s and [[Net Node]]s relate to other Net items (Net Loads and Net Lines), and can therefore be part of multiple Net Types.
