What the Heightmap Overlay is

Example of the Heightmap Overlay

The Heightmap Overlay displays the height of the terrain. The overlay becomes available for all stakeholders when added to a project.
There exist two model types: Digital Terrain Model and Digital Surface Model.

Additional information displayed in hover panel

Hover panel displays additional information about the height

When clicking on a specific location on the map, the hover panel displays additional information about the height of that specific location.
The displayed height of the selected item is the height of the item plus the height of the floor of the surface that it is placed on. This value can also be a negative value if the height of the item is below the height of the surface floor.

The Heightmap Overlay is not added by default when creating a new project.
