Roads have defined values for traffic intensities, with each type of traffic represented as a separate value. The Traffic Noise Overlay can use these values to base decibel emission calculations on.
Icon | Attribute | Unit | Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
NUM_BUSES | vehicles/h | The amount of bus traffic on this road. | ||
NUM_CARS | vehicles/h | The amount of car traffic on this road. | ||
NUM_TRUCKS | vehicles/h | The amount of truck traffic on this road. | ||
NUM_VANS | vehicles/h | The amount of van traffic on this road. | ||
TRAFFIC_NOISE_SIGMA | dB(A) | Difference in noise intensity of vehicles at their reference speed. Effectively a flat modifier in noise. | ||
TRAFFIC_NOISE_TAU | dB(A) | Difference in noise intensity of vehicles for every order of magnitude difference with their reference speed. Effectively a speed-dependent modifier in noise. | ||
TRAFFIC_SPEED | km/h | How fast vehicles move on this building. |
